While in Siem Reap Cambodia I had the good fortune to find a most competent guide Chhayleang Yiv, nick name is chhay. chhay2005@hotmail.com, he speaks good English and is very knowledgeable on the Temples of Angkor Wat, the Siem Reap area as well as the local night life.  I was always comfortable with his introductions. You need something or want to see something he was there, basically available 24/7 if you need it. I also discovered that he has very reasonable rates, well below many of the other group guide rates.  Chhay can arrange a choice of transportation from a well serviced Tuk-Tuk to an air conditioned vehicle that can accommodate what ever size of your party. Dear Chhay, I'm writing to tell you how happy my family and I were with the guide service that you provided in AngkorWat. When we visited in December of 2007 I really believe that the service you provided made our visit at least twiceas  meaningful as it would have been without you.  I'm sure that we would have been amazed by the magnificent temples with or without you, but your tips on going to the Temples at less crowded times, and going to unusual but very meaningful spots made the whole experience much more enjoyable for us.  But beyond that it was your willingness to share your knowledge of the whole area of Siam Reap and Angkor Wat that really added to our trip The special side trips you took us on where we saw the people living on the lake, and the orphans dancing, were very moving, and filled the trip with meaning.  Then too, you always seemed to have a great restaurant tip, and it was wonderful how flexible you were when the girls would get tired in the sun, and so you would come up with a new plan.  It was a wonderful experience and we hope that many, many more people get the benefit of your excellent tour services.
