Day 1:Sunrise/Angkor Wat/Angkor Thom/Preah Khan/Tanei /Taprohm

Depart from your hotel early in the morning in a car, at about 04.30am – 05.00am, to watch the sunrise over the towers of Angkor Wat Temple. You’ll enter the temple gate in darkness (please bring a torch) and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world. Be prepared before the sunrise and when the sun appears, try to take as many beautiful photographs as possible for an unforgettable memory of your trip in Siem Reap

While there are not many visitors at the temple, we take this opportunity to explore Angkor Wat that is the most impressive Hindu temple complex and the largest religious monument in the world. This temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture and has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag.

We continue to see Ancient Capital of Angkor Thom, where you will see the famous temple of Bayon, a bizarre structure with multi-face towers. Then we visit Preah Khan monastery built late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII in honor to his father. Preah Khan, meaning, sacred sword, is a huge, highly explore-able monastic complex, full of carvings, passages and photo opportunities. It originally served as Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks.

Afternoon, we see temples deep in jungle including Tanei, the ruin of the ruins and Ta Prom monastery, the most beautiful overgrown temple which was a well-known shooting place for Tom Raider movie. This temple was built in 1186 in honor of the king’s mother of Jayavaraman VII and was the center of the health care for the entire country.

Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 2: Jeep Tour/Oxcart/Cambodian Authentic Dinning Expeience/Floating Village

Morning, jump on a jeep with your guide and  head past

along rural path to Siem Reap countryside, where you will see rice paddies, Khmer typical houses, local monasteries, the village scenery and daily activity of the local people.

You will take this time to walk through the local market, where you will see the actual activity of local people selling and buying products and afterwards, you will experience riding oxcart in the village, where you see Khmer Traditional houses, vegetable garden, and the way of life.

Come to town and go straight to Chhay’s House where you will experience Cambodian Authentic Lunch.

At 16h15pm, you will be picked up and driven about 15km to the floating village of Chong Kneas, where you will ride the local boat to see the floating houses. This boat trip will explore the floating fishing villages that live at the edges of the lake, passing submerged forests and fishing farms, giving you an insight into another world and way of life. Spend your time on a deluxe boat enjoying the beautiful sunset over lake. You will be served with some soft drinks and beer on board.  Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Kulen Mountain National Park/Reclining Buddha /Waterfall/Banteay Srey

Enjoy a swim in the waterfall and picnic lunch on the site.

Afternoon, come down and  visit the famous temple of Banteay Srey, “ Citadel of women.”  This pink sand stone temple is considered a jewel of Khmer Classical Arts. Enjoy your time admiring the intricate carvings of this temple and listen to your guide giving you mythical stories.

Along the way to town, you will see local villagers making sugar palm. You could stop and see their activity of making sugar palm from palm juice and interact with them. Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 4: Beng Melea/Koh Ker

Morning (07h00am), devote your time to visit remote temples. You will be driven to a remote archaeological site of Koh Ker in northern Cambodia about 110 kilometers away from Siem Reap town. It is a very jungle filled region that is sparsely populated. Since 1992 the site of Koh Ker is on the UNESCO tentative world heritage list. Koh Ker is a very large site with a lot of temples. There you will visit a number of significant temples, including Prasat Pram- a picturesque temple with one of its towers completely overgrown by strangler figs,  Prasat Thom -a 30 meter tall temple mountain with 7 tiers raising high above the plain and the surrounding forest and Linga Temples where you will find huge lingas on Yonis.

Afternoon, return to Siem Reap and en route, visit the spectacular temple complex of Beng Mealea that is one of the most mysterious temples in Khmer Empire. Its central tower has completely collapsed, but hidden away among the rubble and foliage are several impressive carvings. Enjoy walking on the wooden bridge over piles of finely chiselled sandstone blocks, through long, dark chambers and between hanging vines to see the gorgeous view of the exterior. Return to town and overnight in Siem Reap. Tour ends.
